Fly Reckless – EVE Online

Hello everyone,

Barely a week after the announcement that we’d like to have someone new take over the majority of hosting duties for Fly Reckless, we’re all suddenly inundated with responses.  As such, we wanted to post a response to the general public.

First and foremost, our thanks to all of you who’ve responded with interest in applying for the role of host, and to everyone who’s just voice moral support (and to Jade who told us to stop over extending ourselves. Thanks Jade!)

Second, YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG.

Actually you’re not, but we would like to lay down some guideline we didn’t think we’d actually need.  If you’d like to become part of Fly Reckless, please send us the following:

Your public character name (with apologies to Paul the Griefer), and what you want us to call you on air.

Your Skype name.

A few sentences on your life as an EVE player. Please, no more than a paragraph.

Finally, and most importantly, a 2-3 minute recording of yourself talking about EVE. This could be anything from you rambling on off the cuff to a discussion of someone else’s EVE related blog. Please don’t send us direct readings of blogs.

Please send all of the above to Angus.Reckless@gmail.com AND PK.Reckless@gmail.com If you only email one or the other of us, we’ll have to forward it to each other and then we’ll get all grumpy about it.  Also, please DON’T email Chad. Bear in mind that Fly Reckless is still owned by Chad, but he stepped back from the mic for a reason.  PK and Angus will do the heavy lifting, then go to him for final approval. He still welcomes general fan mail, provided they include at least a PLEX or something.

We’re kidding about the PLEX.

Thanks again for your support and your interest in keeping Fly Reckless alive (although, as we state on this episode, we have no intention of letting it die off). Lend us your voices, and we’ll probably be back a lot sooner than we’re expecting.

Hello everybody,

PK and Angus here with another episode of Fly Reckless. We even manage to stick to the topic of EVE this time, within reason.  Here’s the brief rundown:

-Overview of Crucible’s eye candy extravaganza.

-A preview of the newly released EVE Novel, “Templar One.” An epic win by Tony Gonzales.

-Angus and PK discuss their personal projects outside of Fly Reckless.

And, finally, we have a matter of some importance to discuss with you.  For various reason discussed on the air, we feel the need to put the call out to once again put out the call for a new voice to step up and host Fly Reckless. We’re both still around and keen on staying involved, but with life pulling us both in non-EVE directions, we want see if some enthusiastic player more deeply engaged with the game would like a shot at the lime light.
